Megan Over has been planning large-scale soirées since
1999. However, it wasn’t until February 2002 that she made
her debut on the wedding scene, when she was asked to take on the
wedding and social event market at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island
in Michigan. The
hustle bustle of a six-month season, coupled with the ‘grand’ challenge
of planning events on an island with no motorized vehicles prepared
Megan for what would become a remarkable career in wedding consultation.
Since her wedding inauguration in Michigan, Megan has gone on
to partner with some of the most recognized and highly respected
vendors and venues in the St. Louis region. She has planned upwards
of 200 weddings, including ceremonies of Catholic,
Protestant, Jewish, non-denominational and co-officiated ritual. These
celebrations have been followed by receptions spanning from 20-350
guests, held in backyard tents, traditional ballrooms and tea
gardens. Megan has even been asked to assist with destination
weddings where the planning was done in St. Louis to prepare
for implementation at a far-off destination.

Megan has been described by her clients as “cheerful under
fire” and “a gracefully quick thinker.” A colleague
once said that she carried “an air of finesse that befits
a wedding professional.” When asked about working with
Megan, Katie Fechter, current owner of Town
and Country Bridal Boutique and former owner
of Details Event Coordinators, said “Megan’s
organizational skills, calm demeanor, and sense of humor are
an asset to any bride.”
Megan’s background outside of wedding consulting might also
explain why she excels in this area: she holds both bachelor's
and master's degrees in Communication! In addition, Megan
sits on the board of Keystone of St. Louis helping to plan charity
events that benefit not-for-profit organizations in the St. Louis
metropolitan region.
